Program Type: Undergraduate

Degree Awarded: Students typically obtain a B.S. in Biological Sciences (cellular/molecular/genetics track) or Biochemistry because these degrees include all the requirements needed for entry into medical school, but any major or track will work as long as entry requirements are met.


Are you passionate about science and medicine and pursuing a medical career after completing your undergraduate work? Get a head start with ÁÔÓ¥ÌåÓýÖ±²¥â€™s Pre-Medicine program. You’ll learn from and work directly on research with our highly-rated faculty in classes with low student-to-faculty ratios. Your interdisciplinary coursework combined with opportunities like learning in our Cadaver Lab will give you a unique education that you won’t find anywhere else. Combined with the personalized guidance you’ll receive from advisors on classes, MCAT preparation, shadowing and more, you’ll leave ÁÔÓ¥ÌåÓýÖ±²¥ with experience you need to succeed and make a difference in the medical field.

  • Unique Partnerships with Shadowing Experience: Our unique partnership with UK College of Medicine allows ÁÔÓ¥ÌåÓýÖ±²¥ students to get a head start in their medical education with opportunities like our Early Assurance Program and shadowing opportunities with St. Elizabeth Healthcare.
  • Numerous Financial Aid Opportunities: ÁÔÓ¥ÌåÓýÖ±²¥ students are eligible for numerous merit- and needs-based scholarships, as well as assistance for MCAT application and medical school. Scholarships are also available for students pursuing STEM majors, like the Greaves Scholarship, which covers full in-state tuition and books.
