Lambda Alpha National Anthropology Honor Society

Outstanding anthropology students, faculty, and alumni are invited to join Lambda Alpha National Anthropology Honor Society. The ÁÔÓ¥ÌåÓýÖ±²¥ chapter, Gamma of Kentucky, was chartered in 1996.

Requirements for student membership include: 

  • At least 12 hours in Anthropology courses
  • At least 2.5 cumulative grade point average (GPA)
  • At least 3.0 GPA in Anthropology courses
  • One-time life membership
  • dues of $25 (covered by the Department)

ÁÔÓ¥ÌåÓýÖ±²¥ anthropology alumni may apply for membership with proof that they are professional anthropologists and payment of one-time life membership dues of $25.

A student who meets the above criteria may apply for membership after receiving fall or spring semester grades. A framed copy of the ÁÔÓ¥ÌåÓýÖ±²¥ Gamma Chapter of Kentucky charter hangs near the departmental office in Landrum. A list of all current ÁÔÓ¥ÌåÓýÖ±²¥ student, alumni, and faculty members appears on the .
